App will not open / macOS security warning
The trial DMG is ad-hoc signed. On first launch, right-click the app → Open, or allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security. The paid build from Lemon Squeezy is notarized and should open with the standard Gatekeeper flow.
P2 folder not recognized / no clips appear
Make sure you selected a folder that contains VIDEO, AUDIO, and CLIP (usually the card root or CONTENTS). Standalone MXF files are not supported.
Clips excluded / missing pairing
HPX Converter pairs audio using CLIP XML UMID verification. Clips that cannot be verified are skipped by default. Open View Pairing Details before converting. Unsafe fallback pairing is off by default and can be enabled in Settings if you accept the risk.
Conversion fails
Check FFMPEG_ERRORS.txt and CONVERSION_REPORT.txt in the output folder. Confirm disk space and write permissions for the output location.
Output file not created
Failed conversions may leave no final MOV. Look for a .partial temp file during conversion; it is replaced on success. See the conversion report for the exact ffmpeg command and error.
ProRes files are very large
ProRes is an editing mezzanine codec and produces much larger files than camera MXF. Use Fast mode if you need smaller H.264 files and your footage supports it.
Fast mode unavailable or looks different
Fast mode requires DVCPRO HD (dvvideo) source video with compatible audio, as from HPX170. Other codecs require Maximum Compatibility (ProRes). Fast re-encodes to H.264; it is not a bit-for-bit rewrap.
Output location
Default output base is the Desktop. Each run creates a dated subfolder. Use File → Choose Output Folder to change it. Enable Open output folder when finished in Settings to reveal results automatically.
Trial limitation
The trial converts up to 5 clips per run, in shoot order. Purchase unlocks unlimited batch conversion.
